Heading out of winter meant that we needed to get one last maternity session in before we lost the beauty of the snow.

Heading up the Mount Baker Highway, we stopped in Glacier and hiked down along the riverbank to shoot some amazing images against the mountainous backdrop.   The champange gown I created on the spot with several yards of fabric and clips.  Lindy told me that out of all the ones she'd worn for the shoot, this was her favorite.   I think there is something so unique about getting to create clothing on site; I've tried it since but without as much success as I had with Lindy.  We attempted to head further up the mountain in hopes of getting to Heather Meadows but on the way we ran into a blizzard and had to turn around.  But no reason we couldn't stop along the roadside in the pull-outs for some shoots!  My stylist truly works magic - with an insane amount of snow, and in turn water, on her hair I was amazed how perfect Lindy's hair remained for the rest of our shoot, ending at Silver Lake for a little light snow and fog.  Laurel Bareman of NW Hair Design has been my go to gal when it comes to styling my clients ever since.
